Spotlight On Treatment
Take action
The Recovery Alliance Group, Inc. (The Alliance) believes we need to re-evaluate how society views and treats substance abuse. While traditional rehabs and 12-step meetings have helped some, the overall results and the social impact on our communities from the lack of success warrants the need for a new direction.
For decades, society has invested billions of dollars to treat addiction. Yet, much of the system has become an industry that often benefits itself. Most rehabs, outpatient programs, sober living homes, and 12-step systems operate as business models focused on revenue and keeping beds full. Regardless of original intentions, The Alliance believes the “system”
1. Broken
2. Outdated
3. Inhumane
The “treatment industry” is long overdue for review, reform and demolition.
The Alliance’s position is crystal clear and carries no ambiguity or apologies. We believe that the current methods and ideologies used to treat individuals and their addiction have failed to affect any meaningful change. The system of treat, release, relapse and repeat has failed.

Signal Score
What is Signal Score?
Signal Score ranks podcasts by meaningful discovery behavior, not by who is already biggest. It blends scout approvals, saves, shares, repeat engagement, and editorial review into one weighted score.
Ranking notes
- High-intent actions count more than passive traffic.
- Trusted scouts carry more weight than brand-new accounts.
- Recency can matter for discovery, but it is not treated as a proxy for quality.
- Per-user caps and distinct-actor rules limit gaming.
Signal Score is directional, not absolute. New shows can move quickly, established shows can cool off, and no score is paid placement.
