Business Research Talk is a podcast about how business school research actually gets made, and how it reaches the classroom.

Each episode is a conversation with a researcher about a specific line of work: what they set out to do, what surprised them along the way, what they learned that did not make it into the paper, and how it shapes what they teach.

Guests come from business schools and from industry research teams, across strategy, finance, accounting, marketing, operations, organizational behavior, information systems, and economics. The show is for anyone interested in business research and education, whether you work in a school, in industry, or simply want to follow how ideas about organizations take shape.

Hosted by Seyed Emadi, Associate Professor of Operations Management at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Signal Score

What is Signal Score?

Signal Score ranks podcasts by meaningful discovery behavior, not by who is already biggest. It blends scout approvals, saves, shares, repeat engagement, and editorial review into one weighted score.

Ranking notes

  • High-intent actions count more than passive traffic.
  • Trusted scouts carry more weight than brand-new accounts.
  • Recency can matter for discovery, but it is not treated as a proxy for quality.
  • Per-user caps and distinct-actor rules limit gaming.

Signal Score is directional, not absolute. New shows can move quickly, established shows can cool off, and no score is paid placement.
