Welcome to a podcast about contracts, negotiation, supplier management, and the use of AI to understand, review, and strengthen agreements. New episodes are released regularly, each based on real-world experiences and practical cases. These are explored through the lens of law, regulation, contract practice, and the commercial dynamics that shape the relationship between customers and suppliers. We look at how AI can be used as a tool for contract analysis, risk assessment, quality assurance, documentation, and negotiation preparation – while also examining the limits of AI and where legal, commercial, and managerial judgement remains essential. The podcast also addresses the more difficult issues. Because even though a contract may appear to be an agreement between two equal parties, the reality can be very different. Differences in expertise, information, resources, and negotiating power can have a major impact – particularly in long-term contracts between public-sector organisations and private suppliers. Over time, a supplier may gain a stronger position through specialist knowledge, system ownership, data, integrations, key personnel, complexity, or high switching costs. This can create supplier dependency and vendor lock-in, significantly changing the balance of power after the contract has been signed. In each episode, we explore topics such as contract negotiation, public procurement, tendering, IT contracts, pricing and time consumption, development and delivery models, change management, service level agreements, governance, breach of contract, documentation, risk management, supplier dependency, exit strategies, and much more. The podcast is for anyone who works with or is responsible for contracts – whether you are a public-sector executive, private-sector buyer, project manager, adviser, legal professional, or supplier. The aim is to share practical experience, knowledge, and advice that can help you ask better questions, identify risks earlier, and understand the issues that often only become visible after a contract has been in place for several years. Because a contract is not only about what is written on the page. It is just as much about what happens afterwards.

Signal Score

What is Signal Score?

Signal Score ranks podcasts by meaningful discovery behavior, not by who is already biggest. It blends scout approvals, saves, shares, repeat engagement, and editorial review into one weighted score.

Ranking notes

  • High-intent actions count more than passive traffic.
  • Trusted scouts carry more weight than brand-new accounts.
  • Recency can matter for discovery, but it is not treated as a proxy for quality.
  • Per-user caps and distinct-actor rules limit gaming.

Signal Score is directional, not absolute. New shows can move quickly, established shows can cool off, and no score is paid placement.
